    The texts, “When the First Voice You Hear is Not Your Own” by Jacqueline Jones Royster, “How Twitter Became Home to the Teen Status Update: ‘Local Twitter’ is a booming network of basic, young suburbanites across the country.” by Taylor Lorenzwe, and videos, Black Mirror Season 4 Episode 1: U.S.S. Callister (Netflix) and “Mobilizing a Movement of the Mind” by Aja Monet, we had to read this week connect on the way different people may view and deal with reality. How teens and even adults can escape from reality or connect with others using different technology. In the articles we see how teens may connect with others using social media such as Twitter to share thoughts and compare their own thoughts to the thoughts of peers. Some teens may just use twitter as an outlet to vent their emotions and thoughts for others to read as well. In the Black Mirror episode U.S.S. Callister, the main character, Robert Daily, uses the DNA of those at his office to have full control over them inside a virtual reality game where their fake “conscious” is stuck there for life.
