Nowadays, the era of screens and modern technologies have become an internal part of the progress as a whole. Nobody is surprised anymore that gadgets and the Internet make our life more enjoyable and convenient. According to the article ”Understanding Rhetoric: Graphics Guide to Writing, ” by Elizabeth Losh and Jonathan Alexander, regulations for the Rhetoric stay the same since Ancient Greek Era, and they still actual at our time (37). The Web and the availability of information anytime and anywhere made people adopt some restrictions and regulations in the way information should be presented to the audience, but ”old” order still stays the same. Josh and Alexander discuss the heritage of Plato and Aristotle, and prove that ”ethos”, ”pathos”, ”logos” and ”kairos” still stay important at any modern speeches (62). On the other hand, in the ”Understanding Visual Rhetoric in Digital Writing Environment,” Mary E. Hochs argues that unless regulations are still the same, they will be replaced with more visualization aspect, like ”audience stance”, ”transparency” and ”hybridity” (632). By combining prior rules and adapting it to the modern visual sensitivity of the information, the writer will achieve a better beneficial understanding of any material. Attention grabber visualization became an obligatory condition for the successful submission of material or sellable goods. Modern people got used to digital screens and an abundance of productive technologies, and these facts should be analyzed by the writer, especially on the Web. In my opinion, the Digital Rhetoric in modern times brings on a different, more complicated level the Ancient Classic Rhetoric, because of the complexity it components and visualization process as a whole. The next generation of writers, probably, will have to consider even more details and do more researchers for their speeches to be in demand for their audience, because every new generation came for past few decades, becomes more interactive, multitask and passionate about technological progress.

    Hey Anastasia–

You’ve done a great job using formal elements in this response: your citations are right, the details are polished, and your understanding of academic writing is evident.

I will encourage you to loosen up a bit and try not to worry so much about these details in these more informal writing spaces. You don’t need a thesis or topic sentences here; try to loosen up and experiment a bit! Since you’re not getting penalized for “making mistakes,” this is your opportunity to try something new.
