Assignment: To read: “It Was the Gatekeepers Who Failed: The internet doesn’t actually offer an unconstrained marketplace of ideas.” by CONOR FRIEDERSDORF and “The Big Lie at the heart of the technology revolution” by Damon Linker.
Intensity: It took around half an hour to complete the entire assignment.
Reflection: Gatekeepers are important. If a child can find an ISIS Beheading with the click of a button, there should be some parameters that know what kind of audience can see this content. Perhaps an ID system that knows how to regulate what is seen by implementing a camera on your computer that isn’t connected to the internet.
